Privacy & Cookies

We keep this simple. We receive the personal information you choose to send us when you get in touch, and we use it to reply to you and to work with you. We use Google Analytics and a Google Ads tag only if you accept cookies; otherwise nothing is tracked. We never sell your information.

This website, eventumdigital.com, is operated by Eventum Digital, a design, development and cinematic production studio based in Montreal and Madrid (“Eventum Digital”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Eventum Digital is the business name of Valeriia Lypovska, Individual Entrepreneur, the legal entity that operates this website and this domain, and the entity responsible for the personal information described here.

Our in-house products, such as Prepply and Bastique, run on their own domains and are covered by their own privacy policies.

Information you send us. When you contact us through the contact form, by email or on WhatsApp, we receive the details you provide — typically your name, email address, project timeline, budget and message. The contact form does not store anything on our servers: it prepares an email in your own email app, which you then choose to send.

Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs when you visit a page: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. These logs are used only to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors.

We do not collect special categories of personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We use personal information only to:

• reply to your enquiry and discuss a potential project;
• prepare proposals, deliver work and manage our relationship with clients;
• keep the website secure, available and working properly;
• if you accept cookies, understand how visitors use the website and measure how our Google Ads campaigns perform;
• comply with our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing that contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)); compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)); and, for analytics and advertising cookies, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

In Canada, including under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, we collect and use personal information with your consent, which you give when you choose to contact us, and only for the purposes described here. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

The website itself does not need any cookies to work, and we do not use social media trackers. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies, and we remember your choice in your browser’s local storage (key “cookiesConsent”) so we do not have to ask again.

Analytics and advertising cookies — only with your consent. If you click “Accept”, we load Google’s tag (gtag.js), provided by Google Ireland Limited, for two purposes:

• Google Analytics — to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited, how people find us and how the website performs. It sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_KBDWNLG1H6” for up to 13 months. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.
• Google Ads — to measure whether people who saw our ads visit the website and get in touch. It may set cookies such as “_gcl_au” for up to 90 days.

Google processes this information under its own policies. If you click “Decline” or ignore the banner, the tag is never loaded.

Changing your mind. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, we remove the analytics and advertising cookies set on our domain. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.

Some case studies include videos from YouTube. They are embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not store cookies on your device just because you view the page. Loading the player connects your browser to Google’s servers, and if you play a video, Google may collect information about that interaction under the Google Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business — our website hosting provider, our email provider and, if you accept cookies, Google as our analytics and advertising provider — and only to the extent needed for them to provide their services to us under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, or as part of a business reorganisation, in which case it will remain protected by this policy.

Links to LinkedIn, Behance and WhatsApp take you to those services, which process your data under their own policies.

We work from Canada and Spain, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Canada is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection. Where information is transferred to a country without such a decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and we assess the protection offered before transferring personal information outside Quebec.

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and follow up, and delete it within 24 months of our last contact if no project goes ahead. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then deleted automatically. Analytics cookies expire after up to 13 months and advertising cookies after up to 90 days; analytics reports are kept in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months; and your cookie choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear your site data.

The website is served over encrypted HTTPS, and access to our email and project tools is restricted and protected. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we will notify you and the competent authorities of any breach where the law requires it.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
• have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
• have your information deleted, or its use restricted;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive your information in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@eventumdigital.com. We will reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local authority — for example the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos in Spain, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this policy when our website or practices change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date. If a change is significant, we will make it clearly visible here.
